About Me
Lennon Groves
I am excited to attend a college or university that will foster my love for creating music and expand on my technical skills. I hope to be able to build my skills to a point with my music where it can be my career.
Creating music has been a passion of mine ever since I picked up an instrument at 11 years old.

SOFTWARE SKILLS –
ABLETON (2018 – CURRENT)
I have solely used Ableton Live, but I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge of DAWs in the near future. I first utilized the free trial of Ableton 10, after this I downloaded the Lite version
of the software. Finally, after around 4 years, I had decided to save up enough to be able to purchase the Suite version.
BERKLEE ONLINE COURSE (06/22 – 09/22)
Ableton Live Fundamentals – Ableton Live is not only an ideal tool
for recording, but it can also be used for composing, arranging,
mixing, and performing. This course included a broad overview of
the music-making process as well as digging deep into the unique
aspects of production, synthesis, sampling, effects processing, and
workflow inside Ableton Live.

Volunteering
LET’S GO MUSIC FESTIVAL
LET’S GO is a music festival held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds. I look forward to volunteering at the LET’S Go music festival every summer. I volunteered in 2021 and 2022. My first year I was a general Volunteer and in charge of making sure that all of the food and drink vendors had everything that they needed. Last year I was promoted to Volunteer Coordinator where I checked in everyone who came to volunteer, trained them, determined where people were needed to work, and made sure all of the equipment and appliances were working correctly.
School Sports
Track and Cross Country Teams
I joined my high school track team in the spring of 2020. I had no experience with the sport before my time at MSJ. After completing two cross-country seasons in my freshman and sophomore years, I was excited to join the team and stretch myself by trying a new sport. I participated and ran in the 200m and 400m individual races and the 4x400m and 4x200m relays. I also participated in the indoor track season where I ran the 400m, 4x400m, 500m, and 4x500m.

Mentoring
Camp Wright CIT
Camp Wright has been a special place to me and somewhere that I have enjoyed being a camper at since my first year when I was in fourth grade. I immediately knew that I wanted to be a CIT (Counselor In Training) and Counselor as soon as I was old enough. The past two summers have been even more special as I have served as a CIT and I look forward to being a counselor for summers to come. My evaluations from my supervisors are always positive. I have been described as being great with the kids, and always making sure everyone was okay and having fun!
I love being outdoors, making new friends and seeing old ones and working with the campers so they have the amazing experience that I had for all of the years that I attended.
Guitar
I love playing guitar and take the opportunity whenever possible to perform for my community. Photo below is me recording with a guitar for one of my songs.
